What it is. The website for VastGewrapt, a business that wraps kitchens, window frames and furniture instead of replacing them. Marketing pages, a portfolio and a blog, plus the parts that do the actual work: a price calculator, a quote flow and an appointment planner.
The idea that mattered. Customers upload photos of their kitchen and get a custom quote based on them. The first contact is quick and low-effort on both sides, and the conversation starts with a real number instead of a form.
What is under the hood. Next.js with TypeScript on a Postgres database through Prisma. Login for the admin panel and all transactional mail run on Microsoft 365, so there is no separate login system or mail service to maintain, and appointments land in the business calendar. The whole thing deploys with Docker Compose behind Caddy, which takes care of HTTPS.
What I learned. A calculator that gives a number right away does more for trust than any amount of copy. Reusing services a business already has beats adding new ones: fewer accounts, fewer bills, fewer things that can break. And a small site with a few well-made tools can carry a whole business.
